This application is designed for remote collaboration on projects between musicians. The idea is simple: Allow musicians to upload a demo of a project they are working on, and with it a zip file containing all the recordings of the individual instruments and sound that come together to make that demo. Other musicians can then search through these projects, choose one they like, and download those files. It is then up to the musician to do what they wish with these files. They can choose to arrange them as they are in the demo, and just add their own tracks on top, they can choose to eliminate some, change the order, add effects, the possibilities are endless. And all in the comfort of their own DAW. Then when the new demo is ready, the artist can click "Upload Collab" within the original project, and upload all of their newly edited files, including the original ones. The original post, and all other users that have previously collaborated on the project are automatically tagged. This allows for easy networking between musicians, and for projects to grow and change in ways the initial uploader never could have imagined. This project's goal is to fuse styles of music together, and find new sounds that will influence the future of music.
